Specialized Investment Funds (SIFs) sit within SEBI’s mutual fund framework and offer eligible investors access to specialized investment strategies. Understand how they work, the risks involved and what to review before proceeding.
Look beyond the label. Review how an investment strategy works, what risks it takes and whether its terms fit your circumstances.
A Specialized Investment Fund is a category within SEBI’s mutual fund framework, with specific eligibility, investment and disclosure conditions. Strategy features and risks vary by offering, so the relevant product documents matter.
An SIF does not promise superior performance. Depending on the strategy, it may use specialized approaches and instruments permitted under the SIF framework. The relevant asset management company (AMC) manages the investment strategy. Read the current Investment Strategy Information Document (ISID) and related disclosures for the specific offering.
